Role Summary

NdCare Hub is a regulation-aware digital platform designed to support neurodivergent people through emotional regulation, orientation, and continuity... not engagement loops or behaviour modification.

We are seeking a Head of Product to hold the product vision, roadmap, and decision logic across the digital platform, ensuring clinical safety, usability, and restraint are prioritised over speed or scale.

This role is foundational. Early product decisions will shape user experience, trust, and risk for years.

Purpose of the Role

The Head of Product exists to:

  • Translate clinical, nervous-system-informed thinking into product decisions
  • Protect users from cognitive overload disguised as “helpful features”
  • Create a roadmap that prioritises safety, clarity, and trust
  • Ensure digital tools support regulation rather than undermine it

If this role is done well, the product feels quietly supportive, not demanding.

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Vision & Roadmap

  • Define and maintain the product vision for NdCare Hub
  • Establish a prioritised, values-aligned roadmap
  • Make explicit trade-offs between scope, safety, and speed

2. Clinical–Product Translation

  • Work closely with the Founder, Clinical Director, and Lead Therapist
  • Translate therapeutic and nervous-system concepts into usable features
  • Ensure digital interventions align with clinical intent and ethical boundaries

3. User Safety & Cognitive Load

Protect against:

  • feature creep
  • over-notification
  • forced engagement

Advocate for low-demand, orientation-first design

Ensure product decisions reduce cognitive and emotional load

4. Cross-Functional Coordination

Act as the connective tissue between:

  • UX/UI
  • engineering partners
  • research and evaluation

Ensure shared understanding of priorities and constraints

5. Product Governance

  • Define decision-making processes and guardrails
  • Support documentation required for NHS and regulated contexts
  • Contribute to risk assessments and ethical review where relevant

What This Role Is Not

  • It is not a backlog-management or delivery-only role
  • It is not a growth-at-all-costs position
  • It is not about maximising “engagement” metrics
  • It is not about copying existing mental health apps

This role is about judgement, restraint, and coherence.

Equity, Time & Structure

  • Compensation: Equity only (shares or options)
  • Equity range: ~1–2%
  • Vesting: 3–4 years (structure to be agreed)
  • Time commitment: ~1–2 days per week initially
  • Review point: 6 months
  • Salary transition: On funding or product contracts

Who This Role Is For

This role may suit someone who:

  • Has experience in digital health, complex platforms, or safety-critical products
  • Understands how UX, clinical intent, and technology interact
  • Is ND-literate or willing to learn deeply
  • Is comfortable making hard prioritisation decisions
  • Values trust, safety, and coherence over speed

You do not need startup bravado... you need discernment.

What We Explicitly Welcome

  • Neurodivergent product leaders
  • Flexible communication and working styles
  • Questions about safety, authority, and boundaries
  • Thoughtful challenge to assumptions

We will adapt process and pace to support nervous-system safety.

Why This Role Matters

Technology does not just deliver care...
it shapes nervous systems.

The Head of Product ensures NdCare Hub:

  • supports regulation
  • avoids harm
  • earns trust
  • remains humane as it scales
